What kind of tasks can a CDPAP caregiver perform?

CDPAP caregivers may perform the same tasks as a Home Health Aide or Home Attendant. They are also permitted by CDPAP guidelines to perform certain skilled tasks that a Home Health Aide is restricted from assisting with due to their respective guidelines.

CDPAP Caregivers may assist with tasks such as:

  • Meal preparation
  • Medication administration & injections
  • Checking pulse, temperature, respiratory rate, and blood pressure
  • Topical treatments & sterile wound care
  • Oxygen administration
  • Assisting with tube feeding (including changing and irrigating G-tubes)
  • Tracheostomy care (including suctioning)
  • Help with daily activities (such as personal hygiene and accompanying to doctors’ appointments).

Now that you know the basics, are you ready to discuss your situation with a local home care expert? This call is 100% free and there’s no commitment necessary.

1000s of families across NYC love the Special Touch CDPAP program

But don’t take our word for it. Here’s what current caregivers have to say…

Pam Brown

Meet Pam… She went to the Brooklyn office and was signed up in 1 week and 3 days.

“Special Touch is one of the best among NYC agencies. They accept most insurances and will even help you apply for services. They know exactly what you need to do in order to qualify. I work in the CDPAP program, they helped my family apply and as long as I clock in and out, I get a weekly paycheck.”

Naomi has been enrolled in the CDPAP program for 5 years.

“This is the best agency in the tristate area. Special Touch Home Care is geared towards the well being of clients and their family members. Thank you from Naomi.”

Stephanie’s Mother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s.

“I highly recommend the Bronx office in 3rd Avenue with Vieri, Karina and Zulanny. They provide the best service, are very attentive & help with any questions.”

agelina

Angelina needed help taking care of her Aunt with Cerebral Palsy.

“The relief I got was like a weight being lifted off my chest.”

Jennifer's Testimonial

Jennifer became a CDPAP caregiver for her Dad with Diabetes.

“Special Touch has made the last couple of years with my dad really count.”
